Welcome to Island Gigs! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Alkis Hadjinicolaou trading as “Island Gigs” (“Island Gigs”, “we”, “us”, “our”) that govern your use of our website, apps, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Quick summary (not a substitute for the full Terms):
- Island Gigs connects artists and venues. We’re a platform, not a booking agent or employer.
- Offers, acceptance, fees, and cancellations are agreed between artist and venue.
- You’re responsible for your account, content, compliance, permits, taxes, and insurance.
- Some features may require paid subscriptions.
- Cyprus law applies (EEA mandatory consumer rights still apply).
1) Who we are
Island Gigs is operated by Alkis Hadjinicolaou, an independent sole-proprietor trading as “Island Gigs”, with principal office at 69 Axiou Street, Pano Lakatamia 2311, Nicosia, Cyprus.

References to “Island Gigs”, “we”, “us”, or “our” mean Alkis Hadjinicolaou trading as “Island Gigs.”
2) Contracting entity & future company formation
Until further notice, your contract is with Alkis Hadjinicolaou trading as “Island Gigs.” If we incorporate a company to operate the Service (for example, Island Gigs Ltd), we may assign/novate these Terms to that company. We’ll notify users by updating these Terms and, where appropriate, via in-app notice or email. Your rights under these Terms will not be reduced by such a change.
3) Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or older to use the Service.
- Create an account with accurate information and keep credentials secure. You’re responsible for all activity under your account.
- Organizations (venues, agencies) must ensure the person creating the account is authorized.
4) What Island Gigs is (and isn’t)
- We provide tools for profiles, search/match, offers, messaging, and profile publishing.
- We do not hire, manage, or supervise artists, and we do not guarantee bookings or payments.
- We are not a party to contracts formed between artists and venues. Those parties are solely responsible for their agreements and performance.
5) Artist & venue responsibilities
Artists agree to:
- Provide truthful profiles (photos, genres, bio, videos, pricing, availability).
- Perform professionally and comply with local laws, venue rules, and safety/noise regulations.
- Handle performance rights/licensing where applicable and obtain any necessary permissions for music performed.
Venues agree to:
- Provide truthful venue info (location, capacity, schedule, technical setup, safety measures).
- Maintain statutory permits/permissions (occupancy, live-music permissions) and a safe environment.
- Honor confirmed bookings and pay agreed fees on time.
Both parties are responsible for relevant taxes, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
6) Offers, bookings, and cancellations
- The Service lets parties send/receive gig offers (dates/times/notes/optional fee) and chat.
- A booking becomes binding only when artist and venue agree to terms (e.g., via the in-app thread or signed document). Keep records of that agreement.
- Cancellations/changes are handled by the parties according to their agreed terms. If none were stated, act reasonably and communicate promptly.
- Time-specific event services may be exempt from certain EEA “cooling-off” rights; check your local consumer rules.
7) Subscriptions, pricing, and payments
- Some features may require a paid plan or usage fees. Prices and features are shown in-app or on our site and may change prospectively.
- If we integrate third-party payments (e.g., Stripe), you may need to accept their terms. We are not a money transmitter and are not responsible for payment disputes between users.
- Taxes (e.g., VAT) may apply. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscriptions until you cancel.
8) Messaging and conduct
- Use messaging only for genuine booking discussions. No spam, harassment, hate speech, or illegal content.
- Do not share others’ personal data without consent.
- We may monitor or moderate to keep the platform safe, but we’re not obliged to do so.
9) User content and licenses
- You own content you upload (photos, videos, text). You grant Island Gigs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content on/through the Service and in our marketing of the Service (e.g., “featured profiles”), revocable by removing the content or contacting us.
- You warrant you have rights to the content you upload and that it doesn’t infringe others’ rights.
- We may remove or disable content we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the law.
10) Reviews and ratings (if enabled)
- Reviews should be honest, relevant, and respectful.
- We may remove reviews that are abusive, irrelevant, or fake.
11) Prohibited uses
- Break the law, infringe IP or privacy rights, or facilitate illegal events.
- Misrepresent identity, qualifications, pricing, or availability.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
- Upload malware, or circumvent security or rate limits.
12) Third-party services
The Service may link to third-party sites or tools (e.g., maps, video hosts, payment processors). We are not responsible for third-party content, terms, or practices.
13) Mobile apps & app stores
If you download our apps, you also agree to the Apple App Store or Google Play terms that apply. App stores are not responsible for support or claims related to the apps.
14) Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data under the GDPR/EEA framework. By using the Service, you acknowledge our data practices as described there.
15) IP complaints
If you believe content infringes your IP, email support@island-gigs.live with: (a) your contact details; (b) a description of the work; (c) the URL on our Service; (d) a statement of good-faith belief; and (e) your signature. We may notify the uploader and remove disputed content where appropriate.
16) Service changes and availability
We may add/change features or suspend the Service (for maintenance, security, or legal reasons). We’re not liable for outages or delays, but we try to minimize disruption.
17) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk. Upon termination, sections that by nature should survive (e.g., IP licenses granted for already-used materials, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities) will continue.
18) Disclaimers
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
- We make no warranties about bookings, availability, demand, or earnings.
- We do not vet or guarantee users, venues, performances, or compliance. Conduct your own checks.
19) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Island Gigs and its operators/suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of EUR 100 or the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period.
If you are an EEA consumer, this section applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
20) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Island Gigs from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your content; (c) your events/performances; or (d) your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
21) Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Courts in Nicosia, Cyprus will have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are an EEA consumer, you may also bring claims in your country of residence, and you may have additional rights under mandatory consumer protection laws.
22) Communications & e-signature consent
You consent to receive communications electronically and agree that messages, clicks, and confirmations in the Service can form binding agreements between users.
23) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version and update the “Effective date.” If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

- Artist: A performer or group using the Service to find gigs.
- Venue: A venue owner/manager (or authorized representative) using the Service to find artists.
- Offer: A proposed booking (date/time/notes/optional fee) sent via the Service.
- Booking: An agreement directly between Artist and Venue, confirmed via the Service or by signed contract.
- Content: Any text, images, video, audio, or other materials uploaded or shared on the Service.
